Tumacacori Mesquite Cutting Boards
The American Hardwood Association classifies mesquite as replenishable and exotic. It is harder than oak or maple and ranked equal instability to
Teak and Mahogany. Additionally, the wood does not degrade in weather. Mesquite cutting boards can be used in commercial kitchens and washed repeatedly and retain their integrity for a lifetime with no checking, splitting, or warping.
Indigenous to Southwestern United States and
Mexcio, mesquite is considered a sustainable resource and all of the wood harvested for these cutting boards is certified by the United States Forest Service Management program.
The variations in color are considered integral to the beauty of this wood.
